Holophonics

We've been messing around quite a lot with holophonic sound this week. Holophonics is a method of recording sound three dimensionally through two microphones so you can recreate the slight difference in distance that sound takes to travel to your two ears. What this means practically is that we can fake where sound is coming from through your headphones, we can make it sound like it  coming closer, behind  your head or running round your feet. lots of fun. above is us experimenting with making a fake buzzing fly sound, below is the recording, listen to it on headphones and you'll hear the effect.
